Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 April 2026
These terms govern the supply of electrical services by Wirral Electrical Ltd, registered in England, with registered address Bromborough, Wirral CH62 3NX.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Pricing assumes the work scope as written — material price changes, asbestos discovered during work, hidden faults, or significant scope additions will trigger a re-quote that you can accept or decline.
Payment
- Domestic work under £500: payment on completion.
- Domestic work £500–£2,000: 50% deposit, balance on completion.
- Larger projects: staged payments per the quoted programme.
- Commercial: 30 days from invoice unless otherwise agreed.
We accept bank transfer, debit/credit card and BACS. Cash is fine for smaller jobs but we will always provide a VAT receipt.
Workmanship warranty
We warrant our workmanship for 6 years from the date of installation completion. This covers labour to fix faults caused by our workmanship. It excludes:
- Damage from third-party alterations or repairs after our work.
- Damage from misuse or unauthorised modification.
- Manufacturer defects in supplied equipment (covered by separate manufacturer warranty).
NAPIT certificate & Building Control
Where required by law, we issue a NAPIT certificate and notify Building Control on your behalf. This is included in the quote price for all notifiable work.
Cancellation
Domestic clients have a 14-day right to cancel from contract acceptance under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless work has been started with your express agreement within that period. Commercial cancellation terms are agreed per project.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything, please tell us first — most issues resolve quickly. Email Office@wirralelectricalltd.co.uk or call 0151 804 4305. If we can't resolve it within 8 weeks you have the right to escalate to NAPIT's complaints procedure.
Liability
Our public liability insurance is £5,000,000. Our employer's liability is £10,000,000. Certificates available on request. Our liability for any claim is capped at the price of the work undertaken, except where law requires otherwise (death, personal injury, fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
